Enclosure Repairs to Connecticut Jet Facilities

Pumpcoat's comprehensive range of building maintenance and repair services were put to use by a customer in the power generation industry. Three of their jet facilities, which are unmanned locations that house turbine engines for electricity generation, were aging and in a state of disrepair that required extensive refurbishment to multiple structures and systems.
The scope of the repairs required diligent planning to synchronize component sourcing, manpower requirements, and equipment utilization to ensure timely and on-budget completion. Structural repairs incorporated wire brushing and water blasting the exterior, then applying a high-performance corrosion resistant coating. We made weld repairs to rusted heavy doors, other corroded parts on the interior, and replaced latches, hinges, and other worn hardware. Our metalworkers fabricated and installed new awnings on-site, and a new aluminum I-beam was hoisted in place at one facility to restore its structural integrity.
HVAC equipment restoration involved fabricating and installing new duct work and flashing on the intake stacks, as well as installing new air inlet plenum caps before resealing the entire unit. We also replaced the generator cooling fans, A/C units, and external exhaust fans with new energy efficient units.
Working only one week at each facility, we returned them to their full operating potential. To learn more about this project, or how our wide-ranging skills and capabilities can bring new life to an aging structure, contact us today.
